Last Saturday, Brad, Ashley and I decided to finally open the pool. Needless to say, it was a little icky. It was so bad that the ducks, who had made our pool their home over the winter, wouldn't even get in. But don't worry friends, it looks fabulous now. Livie can't wait to get in the pool.
People debate who Livie takes after more. As you can see from the picture, she gets her flexibility from her mom, but likes to put her foot in her mouth like her dad!
Recently, Livie got a jumperoo at a shower at Brad's work. Now that she's able to hold her head up well, she's been spending a few minutes each day exercising in it. She seems to be getting the hang of it. Unfortunately, as you can
see in the second picture, she's easily distracted by the tv overhead.Livie went to the pediatrician yesterday for her 4 month appointment. She is now a whopping 26 inches long (off the charts), and 15 lb 5 oz (90th percentile). The doctor also gave us the green light to go ahead and introduce her to solid foods. So tonight, Brad and I put her in her high chair for the first time and tried to feed her rice cereal. Yummy! You can see how successful we were in the video below...

I can't believe how much hair she has!!! Abby is just starting to grow some and she turns one next week.
Starting solids definitely has its ups and downs. In the beginning, there were days when Abby wouldn't have anything to do with it, and then the next day she was loving it. Hang in there and have fun. I love what my doctor told me, "Don't worry, it'll work out, she'll be eating solids for the next 90 years."
Whoa Abby! You blogged! She has the most beautiful complexion, like her mommy. :) When are you going to come in with her again???
She is so super cute! We got the same reaction when we tried to feed Adaline rice cereal. It is fun!
Ella had the same feelings about starting solids. We are still struggling a bit. She is not like her brother who could not get enough.
